Storing custom objects with unknown schema

Can we pass the object of unknown schema to the table field of object-type? (it does not seem to work when I leave schema empty)
Is there any way to achieve or we need to define what kind of schema are we expecting every single time?

I believe for your needs you want to use the "JSON" type, which can consume kinda any structure.
