is there a way to get the date only part of the timestamp? or i should just make another field type for date?

You can use format_timestamp filter to format the timestamp however if you want, you can combine the special characters linked up in the documentation if you only want the date from the timestamp - https://docs.xano.com/working-with-data/timestamp

*note: that's when using the timestamp in the API. When storing it in the DB, a timestamp will always include the time
