Verify User Email Snippet Install to Existing User Table

The verify user email is a nice snippet.

However, when you install it, it creates a new User table instead of appending or giving someone the option to append to the existing user table.

While that seems like a simple fix, in order to get it working on the existing table, you one must repoint the api. And The api, does not allow you to simply repoint the table. You have to go through and modify all references. I started to do this, but it's a mess to deal with.

Is there a way to modify the snippet to use the existing user table?

Maybe snippets should have a similar option to that of extensions where you can merge into a table vs creating a new one.
