Experience with OpenAI's Chat API?

With ChatGPT now being available via an API, I'm looking into adding it to my site and want to run everything through Xano both for the easy record keeping as well as the advanced API functionality.

Everything is pretty straightforward but the one unique thing about the Chat API is that in order for their system to have context of the conversation, the conversation history needs to be on each API request via an array. Here is an example API call:

My main two thoughts:

1. Has anybody here already implimented ChatGPT into their Xano site? It would be awesome to see a snippet or screenshot of sorts as to how you used Xano to accomplish this.

2. I imagine with so much hype around ChatGPT right now, it might make sense for Xano to have a ChatGPT snippet in the marketplace that would serve as a basic template to get a lot of the groundwork done. I know I would be appreciative!

Hi @Brandon Hassler — I've definitely heard of customers utilizing ChatGPT and Xano. And I think a Snippet is a great idea, consider it brewing… We've definitely done other examples with OpenAI/GPT in the past, so in the meantime, here's a tutorial and Snippet using their restaurant review generator:

  Currently using Xano as backend for a mobile app in Adalo. Anyone knows a Xano expert (Xano Certified Developer, Xano Agency Build Partner, etc) familiar with OpenAI API that could develop a ‘plugin’?
