Edit record input is blank or null

I have tried everything I can think of to solve this issue.

I can get it to work fine on Xano's end but when I test it using bubble if I leave the input blank I get "null" in xano DB. This issue is for a text value I have gotten it to work with a number value.

I have tried multiple combinations on bubble end setting up the api for the key "Name" leaving the value blank, entering a value, checking and unchecking the allow blank box.

I am also have this same issue for boolean values any help their would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully we can figure this out.

If I leave the input blank and run the workflow it updates the record with the value "null". what I need it to do is keep the existing value prior to running the workflow

Ok I see. So when you are editing record, are you setting the name value to be Test_2.Name? Because with update you are only updating Name locally in function stack, to save it in database you need to include this in edit as well.

Hmm weird, I recreated this kind of setup and it seems to work for me. Can you put stop and debuf before editing and check how the test_2.Name looks like when you are making call from Bubble?

it works fine on xano. I thinks it is something on bubble.

could it be the bubble is sending a text value null and not just a empty or null

I Tested something similar in Bubble and it was working. If the field is empty Bubble shouldn't send null as a text, but It's worth checking what is Bubble actually sending.

I got it to work and figured out the problem.

In xano and bubble I had it set up as a "post" which was not working then I changed it to a "get" on both platforms and it is working.
